OMAKA LODGE – The Ruapehu Suite

Omaka Lodge is a boutique bed & breakfast venue situated alongside New Zealand’s iconic Forgotten Highway. We have several accommodation options, including private rooms, a self-contained luxury suite and campervan sites.

The Ruapehu Suite, completed in 2018, is a self-contained luxury suite here at Omaka Lodge. Perfect for a romantic getaway, a writer or artist retreat, or just for some pampering, The Ruapehu Suite is light and airy, with lovely views across our gardens and the surrounding fields. The suite consists of a spacious open-plan living area finely furnished for a comfortable classic feel – including classic art deco chairs. The fully-featured kitchenette includes an oven, a gas cooktop, and even a dishwasher!

Featuring beautiful antique furniture, the bedroom has a gloriously comfortable queen bed fitted with the finest of luxurious linen. To complete the theme, the magnificent private bathroom features a huge walk-in double shower with double rainheads and glass roof, and finished with spectacular hand-made tiles.

Meals:
A continental breakfast is included in our standard room rate, and is served in Omaka Lodge’s dining room. We also offer the following meals by prior arrangement at extra cost –
➻Lunch (available by prior arrangement) – $35 per person
➻Dinner – you are welcome to join us for a light supper or a two- or three-course dinner, (BYO beverages) – Light supper – $35 per person; Two-course (main and dessert) – $75 per person; Three-course (entrée, main and dessert) – $90 per person
Meals are available to guests staying in our guest bedrooms or The Ruapehu Suite only.

Shared Space:
A laundry is available for house guest use –
➻Washing machine – $5 per load
➻Dryer – $5 per load
➻Ironing – no charge for self-ironing or we can iron for you by arrangement if time permits

The guest lounge is available to guests staying in our guest bedrooms or The Ruapehu Suite only.

Free WIFI is available (limits may apply). Due to being in the countryside and some distance from the WIFI repeater antenna, the signal may occasionally slow down or drop out.
The WIFI is available to guests staying in our guest bedrooms, The Ruapehu Suite, and the Campervans @ Omaka sites. The signal doesn’t always reach the Campervans @ Omaka sites, but is available closer to the house and around the swimming pool.
