For a unique adventure, travel by self-driven rail cart between Taumarunui and Stratford, following the route of the historic railway through tunnels, valleys, and remote countryside.  Alternatively, discover the Whanganui River by jet boat or kayak, with highlights including the iconic Bridge to Nowhere.

Whanganui River and The Bridge to Nowhere
